  REPTILES AND BUGS

Not an obvious exhibit, but undoubtedly one of the most popular features at MMNH is the live animal collection. Exoskeletons and scales highlight these popular creatures. These living and breathing animals are used during live demonstrations to draw attention to many diverse environmental habitats on earth. From tropical forests to arid deserts, wooded lots and marshy meadows, living animals are often barometers indicating the health of the environment in which they live. Where else can you experience an up-close and personal encounter of the creepy crawly kind?
